As you can see all around me, phos check has already been dropped all around me for this contingency line.

I spoke to cal fire pio rick carhart who explains why this is important."

Rick carhart: "it's anther tool that we have at our disposal to be able to slow the spread of a fire and cool off the fire, so firefighters can get in there and build those containment lines.

Aircraft is able to get into the area quickly and they are able to spread a large amount of retardent on the ground, almost instantly.

They can drop hundreds if not thousands of gallons of retardent on the ground in a strategic area that will slow the dspread of the fire so the fire crews can get into the area and cut the containment line and keep the community safe."

Amy: the fire crews out here will be here all night.

From forbestown, amy lanski, action news now, coverage you can count on."

Again, the bear fire is currently at 63-percent containmment...t he entire north complex is 75- percent contained.
