Action News Now spoke to one woman who was gathering some belongings from a family cabin.

Half weeks after the bear fire blasted into butte county, some people are finally allowed back in their homes.

Action news now reporter amy lanski spoke to one woman who was headed to her cabin to grab some items. "i am here in brownsville and i spoke to a woman who has expoerienced losing her home in natural disasters before and now she is going to check on her familiy's cabin."

Gale young - "we lost our house to a fire when we lived in yuba city and we lost our house to a flood when we lived by plumas lake."

Gale young and her family have a cabin in merry mountain village.

"we bought the cabin in case we flooded again, and after the flooding there was the oroville dam scare so we came up here and the family came up here as a rescue place to get away from it."

Young says she and her sister in- law are headed up to grab some items."we have a book that everyone who comes up to the cabin has to sign and they have to write their experience at the cabin, so i am going to grab that."

Young says she's trying to grab anything with sentimental value.
