Komen kentucky hits the road for the third annual confections for the cure fundraising initiative.

The organization is partnering with four local food trucks in kentucky for the initiative that will help kick off breast cancer awareness month in october... it's all to promote awareness of the disease that affects 1 in 8 women in the united states.

Amy pehlke/executive director komen ky: when you purchase one of their cute pink desserts they will dontate part of that back to us.

We will in turn donate that to graham james brown cancer center and they will put that toward patients cancer treatment.

The participating food trucks and dessert shops are... cookie dough bliss, hip hop sweet shop, snowhat snoballs, and spotz gelato.

The initiative continues until october 31st.
