Oregon long-term care facilities can allow limited indoor visits starting on Nov.

2, according to the Oregon Dept.

Of Human Services.

To over 43 thousand care facilities can soon allow limited, in-person visits.

However, oregon officials say the facilities have to meet certain criteria.

The visits are only open to qualifying facilities.

That means there can't be any current or suspected covid-19 cases.

For facilities in higher-risk areas, visits are allowed in some limited circumstances officials with compass senior living say these requirements will allow families to stay connected during this difficult time.

"you know, so it's really for everyone's protection and, um, the more we can keep people healthy and safe, the more visitations can be allowed."
