KFC's Colonel Sanders debuts slightly startling new look

KFC France is showing support for “Movember” this year by shaving off its iconic mascot’s mustache and goatee.Movember, which happens every November, raises awareness for men’s health.Participants start the month completely clean-shaven and then grow out their facial hair.Some encourage donations during their mustache journey, which then often gets donated to research prostate and testicular cancers.Colonel Sanders is easily recognizable for his facial hair and the new version will seem startling to those familiar with the brand.KFC is hoping that the initiative will inspire other people to donate or participate in Movember.KFC will roll out new bags, packaging and chicken buckets to go along with the clean-shaven Colonel.Movember was founded in 2003 and has since funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world.According to the organization’s website, roughly 5 million people participate annually
