One Pastor says the virus has been effecting his church since day one

Princess jhanei spoke with a pastor who told me that he is tired of watching the members of his congregation become infected with and pass away from the corona virus.

The pastor tells me he just lost one of his members, a fellow pastor yesterday.

The pastor woul'nt release any information about his fellow church member for privacy reasons - he says losing a member is like losing family.

Freeman sot"it hurts my heart because whenever you loose someone that you truly love whether their in your church or another church in our association it really takes something away from you."

Pastor freeman says his church had to adjust quickly after multiple members were infected with covid-19.

Freeman sot"the loss of so many friends and family members has really made me put my foot in the sand and say you know if we can do this in virtual until i's safe, w're gonna stick with it."

Pastor freeman has been doing virtual services since april, but he says i's hard to balance covid-19 mitigations and the churc's right to assemble.

Freeman sot"we are putting peoples lives in our hands and regardless of what comes from baton rogue or from washington d.c.

Ultimatley we have to answer to god and we ahve to treat our neighbor like we love our neighbor."he says pastors are the ones held accountable for taking care of their churchprincess jhane pastor freeman tells me that he has encountered up to 23 people with the coronavirus and that 18 of them are within his church.
