Putting out fires just got easier for the rochester fire department as they recently got not one but two new trucks train derailments and chemical explosions are rare in the med city, but with the department's new hazardous materials truck, taking care of those dangerous and deadly situations just got easier.

We got it from the state of minnesota.

There's eleven hazmat teams in the state that cover regional areas.

Were one of those hazmat teams. so we will respond to city's not only in rochester but southeast minnesota that don't have higher hazmat response capabilities.

The new hazmat rig is headquartered at station four.

It took some time for the fire department to get the new truck because the factory was slowed down due to the pandemic.

Something's on the haz mat truck that you won't find on the regular fire truck's inlcude these big flash lights, a printer, and much more on the inside ?

"* enabling them to get the information they need on the scene.

A new engine is also heading to station five.

Engine five will replace an older unit that has served r?
