The Beatles - Revolver Live (fake concert)
The Beatles - Revolver Live (fake concert)

Following the release of The Beatles Revolver, John, Paul, George and Ringo travel to London’s Hammersmith Apollo to play an extended live performance.

It was The Beatles plan to play their entire newly released LP.

Much to the despair of Lennon, four songs were cut from the performance.

These songs included Eleanor Rigby, Love You Too, Yellow Submarine, and Tomorrow Never Knows.

These songs, aside from Love You Too, were cut due to being too reliant on in studio production, with Love You Too being cut due to George Harrison’s refusal to play a sitar on stage.

Other songs on the record had to be striped down to fit the live setting.

Because of these cut songs, The Beatles decided to add in a few songs from their set list they had just played in their Germany/Japan tour.

These songs being Paperback Writer, Nowhere Man, Day Tripper, a shorter Rock And Roll Music and If I Needed Someone.

Weirdly the added songs were not only on their past LP Rubber Soul, or released as singles, They also were included on their past American release Yesterday and Today, with the exception of Rock And Roll Music .
