The North Carolina passed a bill that would allow gyms and bars to reopen despite measures put in place by Gov. Roy Cooper to keep those businesses closed during the Covid-19 pandemic. The bill, which passed on Tuesday by a vote of 36-13, now heads to the House for a final vote. If passed by the House, Cooper would have to sign the bill into law.
