Sensex falls 580 points to close at 43,600; Nifty ends below 12,800

Equity indices finished lower on Thursday with the benchmark BSE sensex falling nearly points dragged by banking and financial stocks amid negative cues from global markets. The 30-share BSE index dropped 580 points or 1.31 per cent to close at 43,600; while the broader NSE Nifty settled 167 points or 1.29 per cent lower at 12,772.
