GOP attorneys general sue Biden administration and California over rules on gas-powered trucks

Dozens of Republican attorneys general are suing the Biden Administration and California over new limits on truck emissions. Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers launched the effort against the environmental regulations Monday. EPA officials have said the strict emissions standards will help clean up some of the nation’s largest sources of planet-warming greenhouse gases. An EPA spokesperson declined to comment Monday, citing the pending litigation. A separate lawsuit seeks to block a California ban on internal-combustion trucks. Nebraska’s attorney general says it’s not feasible to convert the trucking industry to electric-based vehicles.
