Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that after the terror attacks in Uri and Pathankot, India decided to retaliate immediately. Singh highlighted that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India has gained prominence on the world stage. He praised BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya as an all-rounder in politics and commended his efforts in West Bengal. Singh criticized the Congress party for its lack of vision and intention regarding employees' salaries in Congress-ruled states. He also mocked the party for its lack of achievements comparable to India's space missions.
