Delhi wakes up to dense haze as air quality turns 'severe' at multiple locations

The air quality in Delhi reached 'severe' levels, with Mundka recording the highest Air Quality Index (AQI) at 498. The Lodhi Road area recorded an AQI of 438, Jahangirpuri at 491, RK Puram at 486, and IGI Airport (T3) at 473. The AQI in Noida's Sector 62, Sector 1, and Sector 116 also reached 'severe' levels. The Delhi government has ordered the closure of all government and private primary schools for the next two days. The Commission for Air Quality Management has implemented Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan, which includes restrictions on vehicles and construction activities.
