Asian Markets Edge Lower In Thin Holiday Trading

Most of the Asian stock markets are closed on Friday for the Christmas holiday. However, the markets in Japan and China are modestly lower in subdued trading despite the slight gains overnight on Wall Street in a holiday-shortened trading session following news that U.K. and the European Union have reached a post-Brexit trade agreement.
