Egyptian, Qatari FMs talk about collaboration, regional matters

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, May. 25 Egypt�s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani talked about ways to encourage bilateral relations, along with regional and international matters. Ahmed Hafez, spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, stated in a report that the assembly is meant to talk about the "positive developments in bilateral relations between the two countries in light of the Al-Ula declaration." Egypt inked in January the Al-Ula declaration at the 41st Gulf Cooperation Council Summit, which concluded a boycott on Qatar by the Arab quartet which comprises Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Hafez noted that "the meeting tackled the importance of building on this important step, by taking further measures aimed at strengthening the positive atmosphere in the coming period."
