McAtee shooting video

P c1 3 during a protest overnight monday after police and national guard soldiers fired on a crowd of demonstrators after they say shots were fired at them.

Louisville police announced today that new video taken from that man's business shows he fired a gun as officers approached.

This is surveillance video from david mcatee's business..released by louisville police today.

You can see several people inside the business... when mcatee... who is in the red and yellow shirt... appears to fire a gun from the door.

The video also shows the scene outside.... as soldiers and police officers move in toward the parking lot of the business with weapons drawn.

Then... after what appears to be gunfire coming from the business... that's on the right hand side of your screen... officers and soldiers start firing.

Governor andy beshear has authorized the kentucky state police to investigate the shooting.

An online petition calling for justice for breonna taylor has hit over a million and a half signatures.

The petition was started by a law student and urges governor beshear to arrest all of the officers involved in taylor's death.

It also calls for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the louisville police department and an end to "no-knock" warrants through federal legislation.

The petition also says the louisville metro police department should be made to pay taylor's family for quote: "wrongful death and negligence."
