Colbert County voters elect new school superintendent

To solve future staffing problems. colbert county schools will have a new superintendent.

Current superintendent - dr. gale satchel - lost by some 10- thousand votes to republican challenger - chris hand - last night.

Satchel served as superintendent for one term.

She helped get the system school resource officers, security upgrades and more technology.

She told waay31 - it's been an honor to serve students and their famiiles.

Now she says she'll have time to focus on her future.

She plans to stay in the school system as an administrator.
