A fire police say was deliberately set in harlan left six people without a place to live and destroyed the law office of johnnie turner...who was just elected to the state senate, according to the lexington herald- leader.

This is video from the scene taken by doug white and posted on facebook from downtown harlan on saturday.

The newspaper reports some of the people who lived above turner's office...lost everything in the fire.

The organization 'with love from harlan' is raising money for the victims and trying to find them a place to stay.

The report says 22- year old adam mills got into a disagreement with johnnie turner...who he rents from.

The report says mills then filled two water bottles with gas...spread it throughout his apartment and set a blanket on fire.
