Haley i spoke to a few people passing through downtown willows and there's a lot of folks who are on board with beginning the dialogue to reopen non esential businesses in glenn county the meeting between the board of supervisors finished a little over an hour ago... the motion passed four to one in support of sending the governor a letter signed by the board chair lee mcdaniel... board supervisors along with glenn county sheriff richard warren were adamant in clarifying this letter asks the governor to consider placing the reopening plans in the hands of local government leaders... this letter will be passed along five other northern california counties.

Butte, sutter, yuba, colusa, and tehama counties are the others.

We're waiting on confirmation of who also approves of the letter... supervisors and glenn county community members want to see businesses that closed down to re-open -- but there's a few contingencies and concerns... consumers want to see how businesses would adjust to public health recommendation s... one concern is that if nonessential businesses reopen too soon, an increase in potential exposure comes into play.

Glenn county is especially at risk because of the interstate five freeway.

Thousands of people travel and could contribute to the spread... another question of what happens if cases increase in the area following a reopening.
