Allen county councilman officially larry brown resigned from his seat this morning.

This comes days after his comments about protesters during an open council meeting.

Fox 55's jentill neal talked to the chairman of the republican party and the chairwoman of the democratic party about what's next.

County councilman larry brown's resignation comes days after he called protesters "un educated" and saying they unfortunately breed.

Shine says they've been approached by people interested in being appointed to the seat.

They have to be republican and a resident in the fourth district.

Shine says the allen county republican precint committee will make the decision.
